Methodological framework for European regulation of (artificial) intelligence and its limits

in English language - Methodological framework for European regulation of (artificial) intelligence and its limits This paper first asses three different approaches to the human condition and arrives at the conclusion that it is exceedingly difficult to presicelly qualify the criteria what makes a natural born human, or a legal entity, a Person in legal sense, apart from the fact we have a strong intuition for it, whereas that intuition is lacking for AI systems. The paper proceeds to establish a definition for AI system for the regulator, one that is practical and functional. One of the key aspects that was identified was the ability of decision-making of artificial systems in any form is the driving force behind the need for regulation. Further more the paper briefly analyses series of documents from various stakeholders that propose their own priorities regarding AI regulation. Furthermore priorities and values laid out in Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy AI by AI HLEG were highlighted as they are most relevant for the future regulation. Impacts of Changes of the New Civil Code on a Civil Association in Accounting and Tax Area

This Bachelor thesis investigates the changes in the New Civil Code and its influence in the area of accounting and taxes within the Civil Association, as that is one of the most common legal forms of non-governmental non-profit organization. The thesis particularly addresses to analyse of accounting and tax changes that have occurred after the law amendment in one specific Civil Association operating in the area of South Bohemia. The New Civil Code cancels the term Civil Association and the question what is further to happen with the most common legal form of non-governmental non-profit organization arises. First of all, it was essential to inspect both literary and statutory background of the given problem. As a starting subject, the no longer valid law adjusting the legal form of Civil Association was used. Next, this starting subject was compared to the amendment of the Civil Code, relating to the Civil Association. After that, the information which were obtained by comparing both versions of the Civil Code, were used to analyse some situations, arising within one specific non-profit organization in the light of the law, accounting and taxes. Eventual changes are described in this thesis and the reasons for making these particular changes in the Civil Code are also mentioned.

Development life insurance market in recent years the Czech Republic

The thesis aims to bring readers from life insurance concepts, types of insurance through the methodology of calculating the premium performance products to selected insurance companies. Users gain basic information about insurance and the theory of premium calculation mathematical and statistical tools, including performance factors influencing insurance. The reader is also acquainted with significant legislative change that greatly impressed by the amount of premiums through a "unisex" mortality tables. After the initial acquisition of knowledge is a few model examples shown calculate premiums, including pointing out the diversity of the premium for men and women before and after the introduction of a new legislative act. The main contribution of this work is the creation of a universal and flexible premium calculator via MS Excel. Users will eventually learn to work with selected insurance companies and their product offerings with the development of the insurance market. The work comes to the conclusion that the insurance in case of death or mixed insurance discriminated against a woman, while for insurance on survival or delayed expectancy is at a disadvantage man. And also that the insurance market offers a wide range of life insurance products, the client may therefore choose a specific insurance product, which he will be tailor-made.

Legislativa EU upravující pracovní režimy řidičů činných v mezinárodní dopravě

Cílem práce je podrobná analýza legislativních předpisů Evropské unie (nařízení a směrnice a jejich transpozice do české legislativy), které upravují pracovní režimy řidičů, podmínky podnikání a další činnosti všech osob činných v mezinárodní silniční dopravě. Zvláštní důraz je kladen na nejnovější změny, které s sebou přinesla poslední úprava v této oblasti - Nařízení č. 561/2006. Práce poskytuje ucelený přehled aktuálně platných ustanovení a nastiňuje, jaké jsou dopady změn do praxe, včetně vysvětlení některých konkrétních situací či problémů, se kterými se dopravci i řidiči běžně setkávají při praktické realizaci mezinárodní přepravy.

EU legislation about working conditions of drivers operating in international haulage

The aim of the work is a detailed analysis of EU legislation (e. g. orders and regulation, direction and their transposition to the czech law) concerned with working conditions of drivers, enterpreneurs and all other persons operating in international road transport. A special emphasise is placed on the latest regulation form in this sphere (EU order number 561/2006), which brought the current changes. The work provides a comprehensive overview of the current legislative and shows the impacts of the new changes in practice. Beyond, it demonstrates and explains some concrete situations and problems from the working routine, that are dealed daily by the drivers, forwarding agents, transporters and the proprietors of transport companies as well.
